Welcome to Grade 3!
Dear Parents,
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11.
Using this Bible verse, our class theme is, "Where God leads, I follow!" Each day is a gift from God, full of possibilities. We will journey together, learning more about God and His world. A second theme comes out of this when we ask, "Who is my neighbour?" caring for those in God's world.
Mrs. Middel, in 3A and Mrs. Winkelaar in 3B will be teaching Language Arts, Math and Social every morning. At noon all the students will be in 3A with Mrs. Middel and some others. Mrs. Postman teaches Science, Mr. Greeno will teach some PE, Mr. Lieuwen will teach computers.
Please keep in touch with the morning teachers through e-mail or a note in the Agendas.
Important reminders:
1. Agendas need to stay in a Ziplock bag and return daily. Please let your child know if you have written a note for the teacher.
2. Bible Memory home book is also to be stored in bag with Agenda. Please study the Bible Memory verse and know it for the following Wednesday. This will be printed out as a test.
3. Spelling - A list of words will be printed in the Agenda each Monday, worked on during the week, at home and at school and tested on Fridays.
4. Library - Thursday afternoons. Please return books in bags provided each week.
5. P.E/Gym - Monday, Tuesday and Friday classes. Please have good indoor runners.
6. Snacks - Please keep a healthy snack for the day.
7. Parent Volunteers and/or Fieldtrips. We will need you and will appreciate your willingness to help. More information will come in the form of sign-up sheets in the next week. Thank you!
